Focus Forward - Week 3
Message Text
John 12:23-24
Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
Message Notes
1. Life of the Seed - Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground
- The goal of life is not to store up seed but to plant it.
- We can depend on Christ in every season to supply the seed we need.
- We have a window of time to take advantage of what God has given us.
- We can burry seed and not plant it.
2. Life of the Season - The hour has come.
- Galatians 4:4-5 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.
- We have to take advantage of the planting season.
Exponential increase is dependent on seed and seasons. Our ability to plant generously in the right season produces exponential increase. Matthew 13:8 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
